Create a token

How the seven token types differ, what every field does, how to set the transfer tax, whether a vanity address is worth mining, and what happens before the deploy.

10 min readCost:Deploy fee plus gas: 0.05 BNB for most types on BNB Chain, 0.01 BNB for the burn type, 0.000001 BNB on testnetUpdated 2026-10

Launching a token is one action: fill in the fields, sign, wait for the block. The hard part is picking a type and getting the fields right, so start there.

TypeBest for
Standard tokenA plain ERC-20 with no extra charge on buys, sells or transfers — points, vouchers, test tokens
Burn tokenTaxes each trade, burns part of the proceeds and pays the rest to anyone who sends tokens to the burn address
Marketing + liquidityTaxes each trade and routes it to a marketing wallet and back into the pool, with optional burns
Holder rewardsSwaps fees into a chosen token and pays holders who meet a minimum balance
LP rewards tokenPays fees to real liquidity providers, weighted by the LP they have locked
Interest-earning (compounding)Holder balances compound at a daily rate, then stop growing once the term ends
NFT rewards + LP rewardsPays fees to holders of a chosen NFT and to liquidity providers at the same time
  1. Connect a wallet and pick a networkSwitch networks from the dropdown at the top of the page, not inside your wallet. Decide first whether this goes on BNB Chain or a testnet — a testnet run is the cheapest way to see the whole flow.
  2. Choose the typeUse the table above. Picking a type opens its description, key benefits and the things to watch, and shows the deploy fee. Most projects start with Marketing + liquidity or Standard.
  3. Fill in the basicsName, symbol, decimals, total supply. These are basically locked after deploy, supply and decimals especially — read them once more before you continue.
  4. Taxes and transfer taxTaxed models show six switches: buy/sell fee, anti-bot blacklist, grow the holder count, buy limits, transfer tax and referral rewards. A switch only opens its settings when you turn it on. With buy/sell fee on you fill a buy column and a sell column: the two reward fees cannot both be 0, and on either side the base tax plus referral rewards cannot reach 100%. Transfer tax is a percentage: 0 turns it off, 3 charges 3% on wallet-to-wallet transfers. That cut goes into the contract first, then splits the same way buy and sell fees do.
  5. Vanity address (optional)The contract address comes from CREATE2; leave it alone and one is derived from the current timestamp. Want something easier to remember? Open the vanity scan and let it end in characters you pick (8888, say). The scan runs on background threads, costs no gas, and you only deploy once you like the result.
  6. Simulate → sign → confirmBefore you submit, the call is simulated: a bad field fails there, before you sign, so you never pay gas for a revert. Once the simulation passes, confirm in your wallet and wait for the block.

Tip · Deploy fees depend on the type and the chain

On BNB Chain, Standard, Marketing + liquidity, Holder rewards, LP rewards, Interest-earning and NFT + LP rewards all cost 0.05 BNB. The burn type is 0.01 BNB plus a 0.25% platform fee on traded volume. NFT collections and NFT sales are created on their own pages, and a sale also takes 2% of sales. On testnet every type is 0.000001 BNB, purely to walk the flow. Gas is on top of the deploy fee.

Careful · Where to change things later

Deploying is not the end. Whether you can still change the name, logo, buy limit, blacklist or the fee switches depends on the model you picked — open the token's console under Manage Tokens and everything editable is there.

Tip · A good first run

Launch a minimal token on a cheap chain or a testnet and walk the whole path — deploy → console → batch send → pool — then go back and launch the real one on the network you actually plan to use.
